fish out of water is a 32-page comic about a dream transmitted after eating a grotesque fish. the narrative was influenced by recurring dreams of a vast and foreboding museum, an experience fishing in a polluted lake, and the writings of clarice lispector. fictionalizing these experiences led to a fluid visual meditation without resolution.

fish out of water explores slow musings: what is the relationship between the body to the extra-bodily realm of dreams? what forms of mysterious knowledge can we access through this relationship? can we communicate with preconscious memories?
