this card represents being trapped, stumped, self-restricted. i drew eight twisty swords to represent this feeling of being in a rut. like headphones tangled in the bottom of your bag or an itch you can’t reach to scratch. what grows out of these stuck places?

in the summer of 2022, i organized uniquinox: tarot alive, an outdoor puppetry festival and corresponding group show of over 40 interact center artists and staff responding to the tarot. here’s my piece from the gallery show. check out photos from the event on interact’s website.
